Yes I know, most of you will say that it serves me right for using Active Desktop at all but I like to have the mpegradio.com component on my desktop while I work. I've been thru several installations of Win2K and this is the first time Active Desktop has given me any problems. It'll run fine for a few minutes then explorer.exe crashes, my desktop will refresh but I'll be missing icons in my system tray... the usual. The MS knowledge base is as helpful as ever, has anyone had similiar problems?

I know this isn't helpful but in my experiance Active Desktop has never really been completely stable in any release. It might be fine for a while but eventually it starts giving problems. The memory overhead it adds it also horrible. We disable Active Desktop on all our computers just for those reasons.

I don't know anything about the mpegradio component but can't you just run it in an IE session?? I know it's not exactly what you want but to me the stability is worth it.
