Activating Windows 7 ?

If you have to, for some reason, format and reinstall Windows 7, you can't use the same activation key as you did before, so what do you do??
 
If you are reinstalling on the same hardware (with an OEM license) just use the same OEM license key. If you are reinstalling with a retail license, it doesn't matter if the hardware is the same, just use the same key.
