How about an acronyms & definitions tab or category for newbies and emerging technologies. Sorry Flamers, only related to hardware & software.

Seriously, just look it up. People don't want to be pestered about what "QFT" or "LOL" means. Technical things are not hard to look up, either; probably easier than 'cultural' acronyms.

Thanks fo the feedback I tried two searches as a test, PM and SM3 and no results.
Also can not send a pm to some users.
Acronyms finders gives me a somewhat useful list but the links through yield conflicts as to the information being sought. Also one has to link to there. not everyone knows of Acronyms Finders link.
There are various work arounds for anything, i was offering a suggestion for technical areas that are confusing. I'm not suggesting asl types.

Here's what to do, get firefox (if you don't have it already), download "Define Word" extension whenever you encounter a acronym you don't know highlight said acronym right click and go to the "Look up Definition option and select acronymfinder.com sort through the list until you find one that makes sense, you now know what that acronym means.
