All,
I have tried to reach Acronis by their online request submit page, but it is NOT working for me at all. I am trying to get some information on what software I need from them. So, I will ask you guys.
I see their list of software is long, but I am not quite sure which one I need.
I am currently the only person in our company that images machines. They had an f'ed up way of doing so before both through our vendor and internally. I want to fix this to make my life easier. Basically I need to be able to create about 10-15 (more in the future) images of different makes/models of both laptops and desktops. I would then like to deploy these images both manually (plug in hard drive to USB) and/or remote deploy (PXE boot?)...but more so on the manual plug the hard drive in here locally route.
I would also like to have the ability to mount the images, edit them from within the image (add software and changes needed), close it back up and image a fresh machine.
I am in an enterprise environment, but currently am the only person who images these machines. We have about 3500 machines in the field. The machine I will be using with this software is a Window XP Professional SP3 machine, not a server.
What do you guys suggest? How much would this software cost?
