Acrobat reader trying to open programs.

I can't open the add/remove programs box because reader keeps trying to open it. If I right click on something I can choose to open it instead of read it but I can't ask her to do that everytime she wants to open a program. I did a google search and looked around on Adobe's site but didn't find anything even remotely similar. Any Ideas?
