Acquaintence's cable box**

Wow, I'm surprised that more people don't know this:
Most larger cities have a police task force related to stealing cable. What you need to do is ask a policeman (politely) if you can get one of those cable boxes. The police will give you the box so that others will see that you're getting away with it. Then, they're more likely to try to get a box illegally and wind up fined. The fines exceed the cost of the cable you receive for free, so everyone's happy. 🙂

thoughts about what specifically? where to get them? how they work? if they are sitll around? how much they cost? if we know anyoen who has one? why people do such things?
you have to have basic cable for the box to work which is what $11? 13? a month? just pay the extra $20 and get the samethign the box would give you, without the possibility of a large fine.

might also want to be more clear about what you are asking since the mods may take your question in a negative way even if it wasn't meant as one.
