ACPI in Windows 2000?

The Wildcard

Hello, in the bios i have correctly enabled ACPI, yet in Windows 2000, i do not have the ACPI tab in the POWER MANAGEMENT menu.

Strangely, however, in the system properties, I have SEVERAL ACPI entries, including an installed driver. Yet, the tab does not appear. Any reason why?

I have an Abit Bx6 rev2. motherboard.

I had a similar problem on my BX6 v1.0
the solution sucks...but here it is:

you have to reinstall Win2k with ACPI enabled in the BIOS

I once read a site that showed a way to do it without reinstalling using registry hacks and such to get it to work. I tried it and it screwed up my install so I had to reinstall anyway. Search around the net to see if you can find it, and if you're gutsy enough to try it...BACKUP!

Good luck.
