ACPI, how do I disable it in XP?

Hi,

I have a problem with my system (currently running xp), it keeps on randomly crashing. I want to try to disable ACPI in xp and then the BIOS to see if it fixes it. But I don't know how to disable ACPI in xp.

very very little exeprience with XP... but in Win2K you just change the kernel in device manager off the ACPI kernel, then you can disbale it in your bios

You do it the same way in WinXP as for Win2K.
