Hi ,

I just bought a new Abit NF7-S rev 2.0 .

I have 2 kinds of RAM :- 2 x 256mb Corsair XMS PC3200
2 x 256mb Geil PC3200

Ther Geil RAM works fine but the Corsair wont work at all ?

When i put the Corsair in Dual Channel the monitor wont come on .

any ideas ?

Ive tried changing setting in the BIOS but it dosent make any difference.

And i tried setting the RAM to its default setting and setting it lower than standard like to 333 or 266 but still when it sits in dual channel the monitor wont come on ,

Plus i tried increasing the Voltage in vDimm no change.

I dont understand why the Geil works and not the Corsair they are both PC3200 and the Corsair works fine in my EPoX 8RDA+ and fine in my DFI - Lan Party PRO 875 ?

Wow, thats weird. Corsair is known to work well in the nf7-s mobo (see my sig). Maybe put the corsair in the other mobo and run memtest on it.

I have no idea ,

I tested the Corsair in 2 other motherboards with memtest and its fine , and it runs fine with 1 or 2 modules inserted in the NF7-S rev2.0 when running Single Channel .

I think i'll just leave it with the Geil for now , and see what its like .

Thanks anyway

Thanks for the help People .

I finally got it to work , i dont know how ?

I just tried it in to give it another chance and it worked .

It DEFINATLY didnt work before , but i think i updates Drivers and BIOS .

So i guess that must have been the problem .

Thank You

Well, congrats on getting it to work. I also had some problems at first getting Corsair XMS to work in DCDDR on my NF7-S. With both sticks installed in the right slots I got no boot and sirens. I then pulled one stick and booted up. I set the memory manually and turned off the system. Then I powered it up with both sticks installed and everything was fine.

I think it was a BIOS/SPD problem personally but I fixed it. :)
