Hey, if the taxpayer funded ACORN is going to be running bus tours of AIG executive houses, are under investigation of voter registration fraud anywhere and everywhere, and will be in charge of the 2010 census! Damn right I want to know what the f is up with them... And unfortunately only Glenn Beck is putting out a version of who ACORN is.

Well, don't you understand yet, the war in Iraq gives the Democrats unlimited power to screw up without repercussions. Just because Mani has no idea what Glenn Beck has been speaking about for the last 8 years, that is proof solid that Glenn Beck hasn't spoken out about anything in the last 8 years.

I really wish someone else would do a report on it. I know Beck isn't the best of reporters.
The facts are there though.

I can't see how people can't wonder what is going on with a organization who gets that much money and tied to so much can be run out of something like an old funeral home and doesn't have offices like other legit businesses.

Getting congressional funding has almost nothing to do with strong organization and everything to do with connections. Have you ever been in an ACORN office? Spoke with any officers? Done ANY research whatsoever on the organization aside from what AM radio and fox news tell you? I would urge you to check out your local office. I guarantee you, upon coming out you will laugh out loud at the thought of ACORN accomplishing one tenth of the far-reach conspiracy nonsense republicans think they are up to.

I'm very familiar with the Ohio case. The allegations were voter registration fraud, evidencing - you guessed it - exactly how poorly run ACORN is. ACORN pays according to number of registrations collected. It has no process to verify them. So you got people getting Batman and Darth Vader registered to vote. At the end of the day, Batman and Darth can't vote, so this isn't some massive conspiracy to get the dems in office. It's paid collectors knowing they get 30 cents per card filled out, and simply filling out the cards. Once again, walk into an office and then try to convince yourself these people got Obama elected.

Who said anything about conspiracies to get Obama elected ?
I never mentioned voter fraud or Obama.
I said they are a front for getting money illegally . I don't care about who they want to get elected. What I do care about is somebody putting on the front of a charitable organization who serves the community while they bilk the taxpayers out of millions.

The court filing is with the justice department over embezzlement and laundering of money not about voter fraud.

ACORN is anything but poorly organized.

They have a highly sophisticated organizational structure. The purpose of that can be debated, but the sophistication cannot. Nor can the usual purposes of such a structure - concealment. We see this a lot in taxation, yet rarely, if ever, to this extreme extent.

Long before Glenn Beck became interested in ACORN data on them has been available, as well as speculation on the purpose of their structure etc. Their structure does allow them to accept federal money, albeit not directly and therefore not in their name. IMO, a damn clever bunch.
