ACORN seems to be a modern-day Goebbels wet dream. Seriously? Are Republicans running out of ideas of what to attack?

If there is gang in politics desperately deserving of being broken up it's ACORN (changing name to COI - Community Organizers International). It's incredible that people stand for this group getting gov funding and being allowed to work the census.

I think what Acorn started out to accomplish was a good idea. It seems though that over the years they started to bend the rules to get that agenda done to the point that they have now broken so many laws that the whole organization is questionable. They wanted to help low income housing but they used federal funds to promote politicians that held their views. When something bad happened inside the organization instead of reporting it , they covered it up. Then there is the voter fraud. I understand wanting to get people in government to help the poor but you can't start faking votes to do it.

ACORN reports possibly fraudulent registrations as they're required to do, somehow that turns in the "ACORN is perpetrating voter fraud and stealing elections!!!!!"

We debunked this crap months ago, you guys just can't let it go.

The idea that acorn is a criminal organization is just a republirat talking point. And in fact the GOP runs similar voter registration organizations that have a far worse record than acorn.

But many people in the GOP want to pretend they lost the election due to fraud, and can't accept the fact that they lost because they blew it when they were in charge.

Even if you ignore the voter fraud, the organization has broken IRS and charitable organization rules. Those are facts not opinions.

I think Acorn could be a good organization but they need to do some major restructuring .

Hey I'm onboard, while we're at it let's start looking at the activities of these megachurches.

Well, I saw House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers Jr. on the news in June saying there would be no investigation of Acorn since the "powers that be" did not want one.
He may have been distracted by the conviction of his wife, Monica Conyers on federal bribery charges
