Ackthppppth. DirectConnect error. Any ideas?

When I try to start DirectConnect, I get the little installed window for Microsoft Office XP popping up, asking for the location of proplus.msi; any ideas why this is happening? If I cancel out a bunch of times, the window stays open, and DC finally pops up...no idea why, though.

i have directconnect problems only due to because i'm on a router kinda thingy
