Apparently I format way to much, cause I have exceeded the number of times I can activate windows xp pro with my product key.

Im gonna call them in a little bit, anyone else have this problem before? Anyone know the limit on activations per product key?

They should just gimme a new one right?

I had to re-activate with the beta version and it was pretty simple......basically you tell them who you are and they will give you a many many digit number to re=activate the product. Actually pretty quick but have a pen and piece of paper handy when you call.

NetGuySC - Well, hopefully it will be that easy. I'll be upgrading my mobo to a K7N420 Pro, and thus I will get a new Motherboard, Video Card, Sound Card, Ethernet, and God knows what else changes so I'm expecting to have to reactivate.

Im not talking about reactivating it.

Ive done that once already when I got a new system.

Now its saying that my product key has exceeded the max amount of times it can be used.

So I need a new cdkey entirely.

I would call the activation phone number cause no where does it say there is a limit to amount of times you can install it on the same computer.

The words "Devilsown version" comes to mind.

I would really consider a guilt free installation of this devilsown version, you did buy XP legally and now you are not allowed to install it anymore.
