Ack! That was embarassing (point and laugh at Mucman thread)

Sitting in the computer lab at school I was preparing for some real work , I loaded up my mp3 streaming website, and started playing some tunes... My setlist started with The Smiths - Charming Man. I have Sennheiser HD25 SP closed headphones so I can't hear anything when they are on... I started the song... I couldn't hear anything so I boosted the volume... I could hear it but it was coming faintly. Then I realized everyone was looking at me... turns out the the sound was coming from the built in computer speaker! I looked at the back and realized that someone had plugged in the headphone extension in the wrong port so that it doesn't turn off the internal sound!

It didn't seem like there were any The Smith's fans in here...

That wasn't all that embarrassing. If you had loaded up some porn and done that, then we are talking embarrassment.

When I used to work for the gov't, the areas were wired with CD systems to play music to make sure conversations did not carry through walls. The system was hooked up to an 18 CD changer that was normally set to random play. A guy I worked with was a big Rush fan as well and we loaded one of the 6 CD cartridges with Rush CDs and canceled the random play. I think we got through 2 CDs before someone finally figured out an aweful lot of Rush songs were playing and re-hit the random button.
