ATOT definitely falls under the 'Worthless' category. 😀 But draconian filtering like that... well, it makes me wonder why bother to let employees access the internet for any personal use. What *doesn't* fall under those categories?

bah internet filters are suck IMO, good monitoring IMO is a better plan and what I do at all my worksites that are concerned about nonessential web surfing. yes in this case big brother watching is better then big brother blocking IMO. I always say this and never mean it, if you should be working and your instead sufing ATOT or the boards and its not directly related to finding an answer to what your working on at the time, DON'T DO IT! however AT is an incredible resource for finding anything about anything computer related you want, or need to know in which case if your in the computer feild (IT / IS department or work on your company's systems) I would argue that its a resource rather then an entertainment channel and if they are to block it, only to block ATOT, I'm serious ATOT 99% of the time is useless for computer systems research.

if they do manage to block you, remember peacefire.org. Smart filter unless set up to ONLY ALLOW CERTAIN URL's can be beat using the same method as beating BESS.

also I belive ATOT would fall under "Entertainment Nonessential and Extreme Opinion"

My network guys are wankers. I have class C addresses to my box, and no filtering. I have my own dedicated CS server, a dedicated web site, ftp, etc. After 5pm, it's essentially a dedicated omega line, with a throughput of 45Mb/s...
I know my old school used to filter web sites, but more along the lines of pr0n, and other such 'no-nos.'
