its a Javascript rendering benchmark IIRC. so pretty much you can see how good your browser is at rendering javascript. like gaming benchmarks, there are several benchmarks out there. in some benchmarks chrome looks better in others FF looks better. it's alll subjective. if it works and isn't slow as molasses, and has some addons. I'll use it else not.
 
72 with FF3, 93 with FF3.5. Speed doesn't bother me. FF is fast enough for me. Besides, I use it for the addons anyway.

Acid3 is a test of the correctness of a browser's behavior regarding certain aspects of Javascript, SVG, and a bit of CSS. It is not a performance benchmark.

A browser's success with the Acid tests is interesting if you are a web developer (or a browser developer) and want to see the quality of CSS and Javascript implementations improve. Otherwise, there's no real reason it should matter to you.
