Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 pro @ Ewiz

Like all too many sites, Ewiz shows a low item price, but has high shipping charges:
  • ACF7pro @ $16 + $11s/h isn't bad, but it's not exciting either.

Unlike many sites, however, Ewiz s/h only increases slightly with multiple units:
  • 2 x ACF7pro @ $32 + $12s/h begins to be pretty attractive ($22/unit, shipped) is great; with even more units it drops one or two dollars-per-unit further.

Obviously this isn't for everyone, but if you do a group purchase with a friend or you build several systems yourself, it sure beats NE's $32 (that's this week on NE; I think it was around $42 two weeks ago with neither free shipping nor $5 discount of this week).

I've just ordered a pair. This pricing has been around for the month or so I've been indecisive, so I expect it won't change.

I'm using one on this rig, it's pretty decent for the price, better than stock by much!

I'm tempted but my CoolerMaster Hyper TX2 seems to do the job for now, though not as well as the ACF7 I'm sure.

Still, I could always use another spare cooler for my parts box... ;)

Supposedly, they are around the same in terms of cooling power.

They are very close with a slight edge going to the ACF7 (1-2C) under heavier conditions (over-volted quads, etc...)

Yup, $11 to Eastern US (NJ). 'Spose da Egg can charge less as they have several warehouses distributed across the US, so they ship shorter distances. 'Glad to see that Ewiz is charging less for s/h where they can!

Hmmm, thats disappointing then. My e8400@3.7 (stock volts) can hit 50c under load which seems a little on the high side to me. I need to find a way to raise the voltage to be stable in prime (100% stable gaming) and that will increase the heat even more. I just wish I could figure out why changing the voltage in the bios does nothing... odd

Guess I'll wait on getting any more coolers if they are the same, especially since I got the TX2 for FAR.

If you go to eWiz and search for "freezer 7" you can get it for $23 with free shipping. If I go through Froogle, it's $16.xx + $10.xx shipping (normally, even going through Froogle, eWiz shipping is $8.95 for me).

$23 w/ free shipping link: www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=FAN-AC7PRO

If you go through PriceWatch.com, it's $26.85 with free UPS shipping. I usually check direct and Froogle when pricing at eWiz.

edit: Just noticed the other thread. The $23 has been around off and on for a while. The key is how you get to eWiz though as pricing and shipping varies (and maybe it was gone for a couple days).
