Acer XD1150 Projector - Need Help with Green Tint

Hey...

Does annyone know how to reset a projectors settings to a default setting??..

A night ago, I had some connection problems between the laptop and projector.. In between frequently clicking on F8 and FN, some Projector Settings came up asking whether I'd like to have "Presentation Settings" and there was a whole host of other things I tinkled with... Since applying all this, I managed to get rid of "presentation setting" but now the screen will either go straight to my desktop background minus desktop icons..etc

Also, there's a green/ blue kind of tint.. So I went into the Colour Menu Screen and messed around there to put the Red back in..
Though, to be honest, when fiddling around I did not think these new settings would be permanent. When I plug in, computer goes black or the screens format changes and gets bigger..

Now that all the settings are messed up... Is there anyway of going back??.. Resetting the factory settings to how it was when I first got it???

Also, does anyone know the settings for colour menu.. like gamma, color temperature..etc

Help is very much appreciated.

I'm thinking it might be the connection.. Moving it or tugging it around the screen goes blue, red..etc

Should I look up and buy a new cable?? Or is it the projector?

Also, why would it be the cable? Am I packing it away not right or too much?

I think so yes. Its blue.

Also, thaanks very much for helping me out on this. I've posted the same topic on five other projector websites and your the only person who responded!

Those VGA cables can be kind of finicky.

Is yours just a friction-fit one, or are there screws where you could secure it?

If it's a normal male/male VGA cable, certainly try a different one if you have it available.

If you want to confirm that it's just that connection issue, you could hook up a DVD player or some other source with one of the other video inputs on the projector to see if the issue remains (or goes away... since you're not using the VGA input).

I've got two computers..
I can connect to XP dell but not too easily with the XPS Vista.

Also, I noticed that if I put one lead in the other way, it is a green/blue colour. But if I nudge it, it goes back.

Sometimes resetting has worked.

Though, I'm a bit concerned by how I can't connect too easily as it wasn't always like that.. And its been like that for a few months now.

The VGA cable both have screws.

If I get a new VGA.. Would I need to get a very particular one? Or just a normal thing?

Just a normal one it would seem.

The loose connection point could be caused by the cable or caused by the projector's connector though (so a new cable might not solve the issue).

When you nudge it, are you doing so at the projector end to fix it, or the computer end?
