I have to buy 2 laptops. only 2 MUST HAVES.
1. mad cheap
2. mad cheap
ok yeah basically looking to get something that will be used for web borwsing, word processing, occasionally for movies. the ideal config esp coz of budget constraints is
Celeron M 1.3 / 15" / 256 MB / 30 or 40 GB / DVD / CDRW / Built in graphics controller 64 MB / anything else is a plus
i have narrowed it down to Acer Travelmate 2301Lci and HP ze4904us. the acer is available here for $699.99 while the hp is available here for $750 (my max spending limit on each laptop). I think the hp is available for $600 AR on BF.
both configs look almost exact but the hp seems to have wireless built in (i dont care much about it). i would like to know if anyone owns these and what their experiences have been. also very IMPORTANT: which one has a better display in tems of actual looks, like crisper text / vivid colors / sharp images / etc.
also in general which will be more reliable in terms of brand and customer service? both have 1 yr warranties and i am not planning to get anymore.
all feedback is greatly appreciated
