Acer Notebook not using NVIDIA display adapter

I just purchased an Acer Aspire E 15 Notebook computer. I removed its OEM 1 TB HDD and put in a 240 GB SSD (never booted it with original HDD). I did a fresh install of Windows 10 x64 and installed the basic drivers including the Nvidia 940m display driver. It seems to be working well, but when I went to:

Settings>System>Display>Advanced Display>Display Adapter Properties

It showed the Intel 520 Display being used.

In the Nvidia Properties on the task bar I can select the "Phys X" device as the 940m, but it shows that the Intel HD 520 is the display adapter.

I uninstalled the Intel Display adapter and now it shows a MS Display Adapter in place of it. I have "disabled" the Intel HD Display Adapter in the Device Manager. I have "removed" the MS Display Adapter in the Device Manager. I have uninstalled the Nvidia driver and reinstalled after doing all of the above.

How can I get it to use the Geforce 940m? Is it using it but just showing the other display adapters?

Thanks

The Intel iGPU is used at the desktop and the NV dGPU is enabled when a 3d application is run.

Ok. I just tested with Heroes of the Storm. The Nvidia GPU didn't work with it. The 940m has 2 GB of vRAM and it wasn't being used. So I will reactivate the Intel GPU and see if I have 2 GB of VRAM.
