acer monitor goes into sleep mode constantly

I think it is sleep mode. I have also googled this and find that I am not the only one. I have a 24 inch Acer Flat screen monitor. A little over a year old.

It is plugged into my PC or Mac Laptop and on. I have a screen. The screen goes black. The power is still on. I have to turn it off and turn it back on to get the screen back then a few minutes later the screen goes black.

I have tried playing with the menu. Everything is plugged in. no wires are loose.

Looks like the monitor is dead. Do a little research and see if there may be a recall on the monitor. You may be able to get it fixed or replaced for free. Otherwise your out of look and shopping for a new monitor.
