Hi All, Acer L100 has stopped working, power cable light still on, when plug in just makes a noise and no power, may have overheated, never normally switched off, can this be reset?

Sounds like the main board may have fried. If its making a high pitched noise when plugged in and nothing is happening then its possibly a component gown bad on the board. So basicly its time for a new laptop.
