I have an acer TravelMate 220. I am wondering if i could get a cdrw drive. The manual says that it is compatible with cdrw drives, but on the acer site i could not find the drives. Could someone point me in the right direction to purchace a cdrw drive for this wonderful acer computer.

I can't remember, what color is the case? It is a silver gray right? That unit is very similar to the 520 series so you could look for a drive from one of those units. Of course the drive uses a standard sized bezel so you can put any drive you wish in there, though the color may not match. The 520 series uses a M/S (master/slave) drive, so make sure you get one of those instead of a CSEL (cable select) drive although I know of a workaround that involves soldering. One other thing you can do is purchase a drive that is the same brand as your current drive and then take the bezel off your current drive and put it on the new drive so that the color matches up perfectly.
