Acer Aspire One Netbook issue

When i go to turn on my net book. I get the standard bios screen and log. When it goes to boot into grub it slows drastically down/ whether it boots into Win 7 ultimate, Win 7 Recovery, or Linux Element 1.4 it freezes halts in the loading process never making it to the log on screens of either or the recovery screen. I took the hard drive out expecting it to be a bad sector or problem with grub loader, Put my Ubuntu flash disk in and tried booting from that with no hard drive and had the same issue. I don't know if a netbook has a CMOS switch to rest the bios, but i did after install the HDD back in rest the bios to default setting and issues still progress the same. Does anyone have an Idea what may be the malfunction.
