Acer Aspire great deal @ CompUSA online

I also have the 1GB/100GB version. It's good stuff.

Plenty fast, runs Oblivion at native resolution, and the screen is nice.
 
Nice deal for all those upgraded features. I don't need something that powerful for what I do, web surfing, email, etc. but a friend does and the price is right.
 

The rebate form doesn't mention anything about any TIVO signup. Also I put the item in the shopping basket and went to checkout and it didn't mention anything about the TVO signup.

I called the local CompUSA and the lady told me I need to signup. I hung-up, I know that she has no idea what she was talking about.

I personally got the 1gb/120gb/X1600 version from the 'Egg...a bit cheaper upfront but with no MIR.

I'd rater have the faster x1600 over the x1400 anyday since I am a gamer. You can always drop more RAM or a faster/larger HD in it later.
 

The newegg's 1GB/120GB is showing Intel GMA950 and not x1600, for the part# LX.TB506.059, can you please list the part# which has x1600?

So I scored two of these . . . had to drive 20 mins to another CompUSA . . . both were display models with zero scratches. Got the manager to give me the two year service plan for only $50 instead of the $140 they normally charge. Figured it was worth it since it was display model. Now me and the wifey get new laptops and she can't yell at me for spending money since she benefits too 😀 Thanks AT Forums . . . gotta love it.
 
Not really . . . some local stores still have them. Maybe I wasn't clear above . . . I scored two of these . . . TODAY (08/08/06).
