Acer AL1912 19" LCD - Brighter on right side???

Bought 8 of these for $369 each. Just trying one out now and it's bugging my eyes out! The screen gets gradually brighter from left to right. I feel like I'm looking through at two monitors. Anybody else get one of these yet? Experiences? I have this one home now but I am definitely trying a couple more out when I get to work tomorrow. I bought these because of the 16ms response times, but after disconnecting my Samsung SyncMaster 193s, I now see why they are so cheap! I hope this one I'm on now is a fluke. I guess I'll check that my video card is seated properly, etc., but this is just too weird.

I tried a few more out at work and they didn't seem to have the problem. I'll tyr the one I brought home again now and see if it is still happening.

It's the AL1912 b
manufacture date is 2004 10

I bought one of those Princeton 1700 17" rebate deals for a super cheap build for a friend w/ little cash and wanting the world. It had a similar diagonal waviness. Needless to say, I was pissed. System was utilizing MSI nf2 mobo w/ integrated graphics. My first thought was that the integrated may not have been above to drive the LCD. After screwing with it for a few hours I got fed up and did a complete reinstall again. Problem solved.

Maybe I had certain drivers installed out of sequence, I don't know. The drivers that ultimately solved the problem were MSI supplied drivers vs. the unified drivers from nVidia. Perhaps MSI had a little tweak of some sorts in there. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than smart.

thanks i removed the drivers i was using. i had a dna driver and the sapphire driver running, i uninstalled both and re installed the new one. thanks alot u saved me quite a bit of aggrivation.😀 i was ready to pack the monitor up and send it back to newegg. im going to get a 6800gt this week so im really pumped.
