Acer is showing off it's new budget refresh of the A1 tablet along with the B1. The A1-830 is a 1024x768 4:3 ratio budget tablet for $150 with an Intel Clovertrail + processor. I think going with a different aspect ratio in a sea of budget 16:10 ratio tablets is a good move.
However I believe it is possible to do this without making it the spitting image of an iPad mini and for some reason Acer choose not to try.
I hate saying something looks like an Apple product. Though I kind of want one because it does. So it's probably a good strategy if Acer can somehow avoid getting sued by Apple.
