Office Depot has the Acer AL2216Wbd 22" Black Widescreen LCD for $179.03. In-store only.

Item #: 288510

Steps for checking instore prices via the online website:

1) Go to OfficeDepot.com
2) select "view cart"
3) select "pick up at store"
4) "find a store" will come up. select the first one you want to check.
5) enter sku ###### in the search field
6) if you get a "No results found for '######'" or "low availability", press back on your browser twice, and select another store.
7) repeat steps 5 & 6 until you find a store that has it. If you want a more accurate search, visit your local store so they can check availability at other stores for you.

If not for being satisfied with my 19" Acer 4:3 aspect LCD, I would have jumped all over this.

How come not all stores has the $179.03 price? Some still show as $269.99 (I followed the steps the OP wrote).

They may be out of stock in those stores, thus the only way to purchase it would be online for delivery @ $269.99?

Sounds like no returns on monitors???

Couldn't find it online for $179 at the two locations closest to me.

Edit >> found it at another location, still showing as $179.03.

I don't know about others, but I think Office Depot sucks even though they're headquartered here. I never seem to get any "deals" that actually work. Yesterday, I got coupons in the mail wanting me to join "worklife rewards". The $20 off $75 coupon is basically useless, why didn't they list what you COULD use them on, it would have been shorter.

"including technology items (including but not limited to all computers, monitors, printign machines, networking, peripherals, cameras, memory, software, postage stamps, protection plans, HP ink and toner, wireless satellite or internet products, tech installation, or mailing/shipping services)".

63rd and Neiman in Shawnee, KS

Has 2 (1 NIB + 1 display)

Thanks for the footwork

Thanks OP. I managed to snag the display model (mint condition) at the location near me. The other locations I checked online were sold out, and even this location thought they had more but couldn't find any in in the storage area...

I am amazed at the difference and improvement vs my 19" CRT, which I thought was a pretty good quality CRT. 😀

i got one from the best buy deal before and it is not very sharp and takes awhile to adjust the brightness/contrast so that the colors don't look washed out. alot of the pictures on web sites are somewhat pixelated and not all together sharp and some games are not sharp either. i don't know if this is because the rez should be higher for the size of this monitor or if the pictures/graphics and games are not optimized for widescreen. i wonder if a 20" widescreen lcd would be sharper at this same rez..
