Acer 22" LCD $119 @ comp usa

is this a good monitor? I'm tempted to grab a 22" but waiting for black friday deals. Confused.

$120 for an Acer 22" Full HD is a pretty hot deal considering I checked out the Black Friday in store deals and noticed that BestBuy only had a 20" Acer for $79.99. Really depends on what resolution you are looking to get but Acer, LG, Asus, and Samsung are all pretty good brands.

FW = fatwallet dot com.

I would stay away from buying monitors from newegg. They have a bad return policy on them.

"There must be a minimum of 8 dead pixels to declare an LCD display defective and eligible for return."

I bought the compusa one online since I have a store close to me.

great monitor for the price. especially in CA with the $16 fee and tax.

i bought my monitor at compusa that is very similar to this one (the h213h instead of the x213h). only difference was mine has speakers inside and a glossy bezel. very good monitor, i honestly think it has richer colors than my old MVA screen though obviously the viewing angle is not as good from the sides.

$120 is a great price (even less with bing). i think i paid $160 for mine when tigerdirect had 12% bing.

people always talk about newegg's poor monitor return policy, but I've bought about 10 monitors from them over the years with never a single problem.

edit: just bought the monitor at TD. still available atm.

I don't know if this monitor is an acutal 22" I see its dimensions are 20.54" x 14.8" x 6.98"

while another popular 22" Acer monitor on Newegg has 21.5" x 16" x 7"

does this matter at all in terms of screen space? I see there is almost 40 sq inch short compared to the popular model.

I bit, I like the x223w I got for like 139? a few months ago, also an acer, I hope this will match up as a 2 monitor setup, they have the x223w but its 149 now, I wonder why, this seems better and has 1080 instead of 1050 resolution, or am I missing something?

Update: Looks like the pics underneath on description says this is a 21.5 and the other was a 22 diag, oh well, whats 1/2 inch for 30 dollars lol

huh?

22.4" x 16.9" x 4.8"

You know I could have sworn we went thru all this with class action suits, etc and the result was they would have to advertise the diagonal useable measurement on CRT's, maybe it doesnt apply to the new flat screens. But here we are 3 major players flexing the corporate muscles and calling a 21.5 inch screen a 22 until you read further on. This should be advertised as a 21.5 if its a 21.5 period, it would have avoided all this confusion.

off the description:
Screen Size: 22 inches
Diagonal Size: 21.5"

what is the 22 inch's they are talking about, the we wish it was 22 inch's so we can sell more?
