Pretty solid deal. Especially considering no rebates to mess around with.

There appears to be two version of this monitor. one is the X193Wbd listed at best buy with a 1440 x 900 resolution and the X193W+bd version listed at newegg with a 1680x1050 resolution.

great price, anyone have this monitor?

i do (or rather i bought it for my wife)

great monitor, not brand loyal but just happens that 3 of the 4 monitors i have now are acer (this one, a 22 widescreen, & 19" standard)

wife only plays wow on it, but picture looks great

don't see the 1680 screen @ bb...

fyi, i picked up one of the 19' 1680 westinghouse monitors a couple weeks ago... it's really an excellent monitor... less tablespace, great iq and viewing angle... kids immediatly snagged it for gaming since it makes aa less necessary...

I just got back from Best Buy,

it's 1440.

One thing that makes me curious, they had boxed up a bunch of the X193Wbd 19inch acer widescreen in white glossy boxes.

This is not the model on sale, the one on sale is 193Wbd. This was in a slightly smaller non-glossy cardboard box, this is the model they gave me.

Just picked it up. Can't seem to get it to 1440 x 900. Acer website appears to only have vista drivers.

So far, I'm not too impressed with this monitor or Acer.
OSD, leaves you guessing if you have the right setting or not.
Acer's web site, well, just no help at all.

OK, the monitor is fine. I just had to adjust the refresh rate.

Just got 1 myself. No drivers are needed in windows just changed the resolution and there it went.
Using XP with 9600 gt

This is a solid monitor for the price. I picked mine up yesterday and it's as good or better than the Viewsonic VP191 I use at work.

This monitor has both dvi-d and vga inputs including both cables.

I got two of them yesterday. I'm using one of them right now. The model number on the bezel is X193w. It has a pretty good picture for a 19" LCD monitor with a TN panel. It is very heavy for such a small monitor and it is very sturdy. The base is actually made of metal rather than being made of solid plastic. I've seen similar models that have a native resolution of 1680x1050, but I'm glad this one has a resolution of 1440x900 because the standard font size is just about right--anything smaller would be too hard to see. It's also nice that it has a refresh rate of 75Hz instead of the standard 60Hz. I fiddled with the focus, brightness, contrast, and color settings for several minutes before I was happy with it, but I'm very picky about things like that. I'm not completely happy with the colors, but the picture is very clear, bright, and easy to read. I also like the fact that the power LED is muted rather than bright enough to light up the entire room.

The X193w comes in plain cardboard box. There is also another Acer 19" monitor that comes in a glossy white box (which the customer associates originally gave me), but they rang up for over $200 at the register. I have no idea which model number they were.
