CompUSA has Acer AL1912b 19-inch LCD Monitor on sale for $370 - $120 MIR = $250 AR. Circuit City has the same monitor for $300 - $60 MIR = $240 AR.

PM the Circuit City's regular price at CompUSA and get the monitor for $300 (PM'ed price) - $120 MIR = $180 AR/PM.

Of course, YMMV because of the PM. I did it Sunday morning with no problems.

Thanks Hacp for the free KB reminder: see the CompUSA ad just above the LCD for details.

Dang, I was so excited about the monitor that I didn't even pay attention at the free keyboard. And I just actually PAID $40 for a wireless KB/mouse on Saturday.

Back to CompUSA for the KB.

If you are able to get a PM on the LCD, there is no reason why you can't get the free KB. Just bring it to the register/counter, and let them scan it after they do a PM. Since both items (the LCD and the KB) are on the same receipt, the rebates for the KB should print out automatically.

They would not match the Circuit City sale price, they would only adjust the price so that the final cost after rebate was the same as Circuit City's price and no free keyboard which is something I had been waiting to pick up. And my wife needed a new monitor since her CRT was starting to go wavy... that sucked. If gas wasn't so expensive, I would have driven to more CompUSAs to ask them to match exactly with KB and mouse too, but they also only had one monitor left, so I didn't want to chance missing the only one. But the keyboard is really nice, the monitor, not bad for the price, though $180 would have been much better.

For others attempting the PM: don't even mention the KB promotion. The KB promotion has 2 rebates: one is KB specific, the other one is a bundle rebate with a purchase of ANY advertised LCD. So, none of the KB rebates is tied specifically to this monitor.

Just bring the KB with you to the register, ask for a PM on the LCD and then give them the KB to scan - just as any additional items you might be buying. Both KB rebates will print out automatically.
