Damn, thats horrible.

I didn't know him personally but we've had our conversations back and forth on these forums and he seemed like a decent guy.

Damn :(

RIP

Wow. Really sad and much too young. I haven't been around here much (since my company banned forums at the office) but I remember his posts in the past. He'll be missed for sure.

What a shame to die so young in such a way. My condolences to his friends and family on their loss.

It's odd to think that ATOT can teach a lesson like the fragility of life and the proximity of death, considering how many have died over the years that frequented these forums at one time or another.

Jesus christ, how can you get behind a car with a .242. That isn't even just a few beers, that is being tanked. I hope that ****** idiot gets raped in prison.

The problem isn't with drinking itself, but with drunk driving. I've never driven with anything more than 1/2 a drink's worth of alcohol in me (I'm kinda obsessively paranoid on this point actually, and will sit around waiting until my body's taken care of enough alcohol for me to drive-this has lead to some boring times).

However, I also live in NYC, where even if I got too drunk I could probably get home some other way, whether I take a cab or a bus or the subway. In most parts of this country though, I see bars in the ass middle of nowhere, accessible only by car. Which would make not drinking and driving harder than it is for me. Seriously, they gotta figure out some way for people to go drinking without having to drive to the damned bar, or this crap is going to keep happening because people have no self control, especially when drunk.

Maybe there ought to be more public transportation to a special drinking area of cities or something. I don't know, but it annoys me when I see a single person drive up to a bar in the middle of nowhere and park, because I know damned well they don't have a designated driver. Grr

I hope they put that stupid drunk driver away for a long long time...
Too bad the punishment doesn't really fit the crime in these cases...

Wow, funny how small the world is sometimes. Up here at school I live no more than 300 feet from the scene of the accident. As an EMT in the area I only wish I could have been home when it happened so that I could have possibly done something. I know the paramedic that ended up on scene very well. It's crazy how small the world can be. Lifer at ATOT. Wow. So many lives ruined in the name of stupidity. Drink, but for the love of God don't drive or do something equally as stupid. What a tragedy. RIP Ace.

Small world is right. I too am a Penn Stater and live quite close. Haven't been in OT in a while and stumbled in to see this message. As the story was loading I realized it from the Centre Daily Times and it was the accident that happened a block away.

RIP man, Peace.
