Dear David,

Many thanks for sending this to me.

We very much want to write about Richard, his life, his character and his personality.

How well did you know Richard? Would you be willing to do a phone interview sometime today, or could you direct me to someone who might be able to do so?

Thanks for sending along the photo, as well. We will publish Richard?s photo ASAP.

Many condolences,
Adam

Has anyone spoken to the reporter today???

Just one more push to include something about him in our sigs and change our avatars in his honor.

It's amazing to see such a huge and diverse community converge and be so supportive about our late friend. We do need to keep the nay-saying out of here though. We all hate the drunk driver and sure maybe he should have been the one to go instead of ace, but one life has already been ripped away from us, why wish a similar fate upon someone else?

Not saying he shouldn't be punished to the full extent of the law, just remember why we are here in this thread, to honor ace, not bad-mouth those to blame.

- We'll miss you buddy, and every sunset experienced by this ATOTer will forever remind me of you

The guy's Facebook profile has vanished now. I guess our only hope of having that evidence preserved would be if Facebook archives their data regularly.

Either way, I think there's sufficient evidence against him. I guess he'll never view drinking and driving as trivial or fun ever again.

When I first joined 6 months ago I was surfin around here and I came across his posts and I'm like "hey we both have ace in our name!" In the "what does your username mean thread he said he used to be called "ace" by his friends... same here. We had stuff in common, makes it even more sad. RIP buddy, you were a great guy.🙁

It would be fitting to show his picture online and in your paper instead of the drunk student driver that took his life.

Thank you

I too live in State College where this happened at, and there is indeed a major problem with underage drinking - drinking in general, but according to some article I read most of the people arrested for public intoxication are minors.

Totally unacceptable.

I, like everyone here, am saddenned to hear this news. I recognized Ace from all of the Eagles' threads around. He was a good member, I always enjoyed reading his posts.

🙁
