Yeah, seriously, what is that. I just assumed that was Rick, I think that's the natural assumption. That newspaper sucks. They should run a mugshot of the driver instead of a freakin posed picture out by the lake or whatever that is.

I don't know what to say. I mean, I really don't. I talked to acemcmac on the forums, and bantered back and forth in threads. But of course, I didn't know him personally.
But STILL, this pisses me off to no end that someone thinks that they can get sh!tfaced and do whatever the *#&@ they want and put other innocent lives in danger. And in this case, MURDERING one person.

Wow, that's nuts. I didn't know him personally but I easily recognize the handle from his posts. Life is short as it is, sucks that he had to be taken so young.
I'm a road technician so cars are zipping by me all day long, we never know if somebody who isn't paying attention is gonna clobber one of us. Objects with that kind of mass moving at 50mph are no fvcking joke, I can't understand why people would ever d&d... Hell, I've never touched an alcoholic beverage in my life as I don't understand the point in general.

I don't post here much myself, but I'm a close friend of ace's from highschool.
I recently spoke to ace's parents, and they informed me that at least he didn't suffer. he died instantly. The other pedetrian that the same driver hit did not, and is still in critical condition. I understand his outlook is grim. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts as well.

Well if .008 is enough that the law says you are not capable of safely operating a car.....good god. It's probably amazing (and very unfortunate) that he was able to walk to his car and figure out how to use the keys.
Objects that mass with any motion are no joke. Take a tractor trailer, move it at 1mph, with you against a brick wall - it'll probably still crush you.
And one pedestrian in the hospital in critical condtion.

I don't know what to say. Although I have never met the guy and I barely knew him on these forums, he was always present here when I was logged on and I just remember him as being an overall nice and intelligent guy.
Im on these forums during the week while Im on at work, for many hours during the day, and spending that much time on a forum will almost give you the feeling of knowing some of these people personally. It's almost like being in a room with some of these members Monday through Friday and casually making comments to one another day after day, so although I didn't know him well, he will be missed.
