How's the multiplayer? All I've seen is people commenting on the single player being frustrating in the later levels.

I beat that mission on hard the first chance I got.

Just focus on the support ships. Once you take out their guns, the engines becomes available as targets. Have your wingmen keep the Strigand fighters busy while you do that work.

Don't get too far away from the planes/ships, or else the cruise missies will get you.

The gun is your friend on that mission.

I cant find the jammers... Im flying the F14D and my XLAA's are useless.

The jammer antennas should be on the front and back of two of the smaller escort ships. One antenna is on the tail of each, and usually takes either three rockets or a good gun burst to take them out. On those ships you have to take out the antennas and the AA guns before the engines become available as targets. Come in behind the engines, slow down to the same speed, and spray the engines with gun fire.

I dont need ladder matches with someone who i have never met, I dont want my scores posted for all the world to see, I dont want to IM or mic chat while gaming.

if all I want is to be able to play 4 player split screen games in my living room with my bestest friends... then no it isnt.

Listen to their advice, stay close to the flying aircrafts (not too close...) and take out the fighters first, then tackle the big ship, the smaller one's are pretty much fillers.

Multiplayer wasn't extremely fun. The single player game was highly frustrating.

I still don't understand...

any game that has splitscreen multiplayer of 3+ people does not require xbox live.

If a game is made to be online multiplayer only, then yes you need xbox live.

But you said you wanted to play 3+ people locally. It's not xbox live's fault that the people who make the game don't allow 4 person splitscreen.

anyways, get this back on topic.


I took this game off of my gamefly queu because of another post saying how frustrating it was. I'm thinking about putting it back on for the heck of it just to give it a shot.
