Accutane?

Hmm, what do you guys think of accutane? I might snag a prescription for it tomorrow; my dermatologist has offered it to me before...

I've never been on it, but a friend of mine was on it for a while, and her emotions were absolutely crazy during that time. I stopped talking to her, because it seems as though she was two steps from an insane asylum, but it turned out (she says) that it was the Accutane. Once she dropped the Accutane she went back to her normal self.

Not certain if that's a normal side-effect or not.

First, would ask your doctor about minocycline. Its what im taking right now. I used to have moderate/severe acne. I had it for about 5 years. I started taking this 2 months ago. I would say my skin has cleared up over 95%. This stuff has like made my life 10x better than it was with acne. The scars that i have, are starting to go away. You can almost tell that i never had acne before. Ask your doctor about this before accutane

Accutane never gave me any mental problems, and it worked pretty well as far as drying my skin goes. Different effects on different people I guess. If you're prone to depression, or don't have much of a social life, maybe you don't want to risk taking it.
