<< How does the INTJ fit you? Personally, it fits me to a T. First time i did this test, i was so amazed as to how accurate it was i talked to the prof for a good 30mins. I got the book the next day, and read through the entire thing in a couple of days. If you're really interested in it (ie, it fits you just perfect), i REALLY suggest you get the book i mentioned... Kiersey really goes into details as to your personality type, including what sort of mate would be good for you, how you would end up parenting (or how you should), and what kind of career is appropriate for you... i would scan it all for you, but i don't have a scanner! And it's WAY too much for me to type. >>



I was absolutely freaked out by it -- I even read deeper analyses and found certain things that I thought were just MY eccentricities. It helped to see it as part of a system, as it allowed me to understand certain experiences/behaviors more clearly.

Just the link that i gave... it'll take you to a link with all the descriptions, but they're quite superficial... compared to the book at least. I really wish i could scan this stuff for you, it's absolutely amazing how correct it is.

Like Jfur, i was completely freaked out the first time i took the test. Part of the reason why i went into psychology was to learn about myself, but course after course, all i learned was general behavior. But when i had to do the Kiersey test, and read the description, i was actually shaking from disbelief... finally something that explains me, and explains it sooooo accurately it was scary (but so comforting as well... i finally understood myself).

one of my profs did research and found that most CS people (in their sample) were INTxs, also some INFxs

Oh yeah, that definitely doesn't surprise me. Keirsey himself devotes some of the book to career choices that certain temperament would excel in.

It's excellent... you know those links you gave? That gave a decent explanation, but the book has about 20x as much information for each personality type.

Oh, and what really makes the book REALLY great is how easy it is to read! I gave this test to my 14 year old brother, and he was able to read his description.
