According to some folks at DSLReports THE OLD MORPHEUS IS WORKING

If you haven't used it in a while it should work. Why? Because the good folks at Kazaa nuked Morpheus clients that connected during a certain period of time. So if you didn't connect during that time period your client is still functional.

Someone posted a link here to the story at The Register today, I'm too lazy to look for/link it though. 😉

I was one of those who?s old Morpheus died. I just now performed the following steps and brought it back to life!

Start Regedit
Navigated to HKLM\Software\Morpheus
Delete entire Morpheus key
Reinstalled Morpheus 133 from oldversion.com
Connected
Significant delay, followed by successful connection

Didn?t loose any of my existing downloads or options.

Hit the nail on the head. By chance, I didn't log onto Morpheus for a while. I got in about a week and a half ago and boom still works.

Who cares? Just get Kazaa and take the 5 minutes to remove the spyware. You can even move your old partial downloads from morpheus over to kazaa, just cut them from the morpheus directory and paste them into the mysharedfolder directory in the kazaa folder.

Uh, principle - something the people at Kazaa lack.
