This is not surprising, but I thought I'd share more recent info.

My argument against walking around with ANY headphones is it makes you a target simply because you arent paying attention. I believe its an especially bad problem among females on campus as they are already more likely to be mugging or rape victims.
Apparently its a more specific issue than that. Many thieves are only bothering with targets wearing the classic little white earbuds cuz they only want Apple products.



(Please keep the Apple-bashing to a minimum, I consider this a news and crime thread, not a tech thread.)

i just wanted to ask people here- what is up with guys at clothing stores that have headphones on while looking for clothes?

how much time do they spend there? it appears to me they just go there and look all day long.

i mean, i understand it takes time to look for good shirts, but im still in and out in about a half hour. it never occured to me that i need to have my own music to pass the time....

and, this one dude had the music so loud i could hear it from over 20ft away. his ears must have had so much wax in them i wonder if he could even take the earbud out anymore...

Get a brush guard, works wonders at saving the bumper and even keeps them from coming up and over the hood!
