Click on ESPN motion, there's also an statement made by duncan who says he doesn't really care if they are boring to watch🙂.

I can watch 8 hours of Atlanta Braves in a pitching match with another team before I could watch more then 10min's of BB, and that includes finals

i think i caught about 15 seconds of game one.
and that is exactly how i feel about NBA basketball
i will watch and follow college basketball as much as anyone.
screw the nba and their overinflated wallets and egos.

This is what they get for being the networks' whore. Stern needs to assert himself and put the games on at more reasonable times. East Coasters don't want to watch a game that ends at 11:30. It's even worse if you go to the games, believe me (went to game 3,wo0t!). Plus, if you're going to have a game Sunday, for goodness sake, don't start it at night!

What's more... all these "teh West pwns yuo!" is not helping ratings. If Stern had a brain, he'd do his best to keep people from talking that way. As you all surely know, the perception is that the Finals are a mere formality before the West team steps up to the podium and collects the hardware.

I heard a rumor that Stern is mulling over the idea of seeding across the league and having one big tourney instead of having separate conference champions meeting in the Finals. If you ask me, that's a hair short of idiotic. In order to do that, you'd really need a balanced schedule, which would ruin rivalries.

Neither team has a creative scorer. I think thats the main problem, not necessarily the market. Duncan is probably the most boring superstar to watch, geez.

I mean the best excitement in this series is Jason Kidd's passes but that can only do so much.

laker hater stay away.....

there isn't a player on either team to root for or against really.....

jordan was incredible of course, but if he had a personality like duncan, the salary cap for teams would still be about $20million.

I haven't watch more than 20 minutes worth of finals BB this year in all 3 games combined. I think they drag on far too long, at this point people are sick of it, and as mentioned earlier it is a well known fact that the real games to watch are in the west with Dal, Sac, SA, and LAL and that whoever wins that battle of 4 teams will take the title, the rest is just formality. Besides it just isn't that fun to watch. That being said did you guys see the NHL finals this year? Now THAT was excitement.

As I got older, NBA became boring and now I rarely if ever watch it.

I rather watch wrestling and reality shows.

I find Hockey to be nearly as boring of a spectator sport as golf. I don't even enjoy the fighting.

I've been watching less and less BB and more and more Hockey and Baseball. Staley8 is right tho, the NHL Finals were great this year except the wrong team won!😛 And last year I went to a couple of the Angels' playoff games and it was great. I watched most the rest on TV and was glued there.

Well you have to know a little of what is going on otherwise yes, it is boring. But this years finals....actually the entire playoffs had so many story lines, heroes, shockers, etc. And the game is fast faced all the time. What did BB have? The nets won the East---big shocker there. And the West did in fact have some good series but that is all done now. What we have left is a boring but effecient championship team.

I have watched 1.5 games of the NBA finals only because I am a basketball fan. The games are boring, low scoring, and players movements are incredibly predictable. Duncan is the worst MVP I believe the game has ever seen. He might be a robot. The spurs consistency and willingness to be team players makes them a very difficult team to beat and a very boring team to watch. Even though I am from Texas, I can't really cheer for them. I can only hope that Duncan has an early retirement, or grows a personality.

I don't mind the Nets so much, but they are boring as an Eastern Conference team. They have a couple of creative players, but nobody that can score consistently or really dominate a game. If Webber or Nowitzki had not gotten hurt, this could have been a more exciting playoffs/Finals. I am looking forward to seeing how some offseason trades workout, especially in Dallas. I wish some of the talent, especially in the Big Men, would spread into the East.

Next year's finals should be more exciting as I don't think San Antonio has a shot at winning everything.
