Long story short, this person wouldn't let me into the lane i needed to get onto the freeway, they did the whole "oh this guy needs to get over, let me speed up and prevent him from doing so" routine

so when I finally got in behind said person, I flipped them the bird. then when we stopped at the light, I noticed it was a coworker.

Pretty sure I cant get into any real trouble but has anybody had this happen to them before?

So it was an accident that you flipped off this person? You didn't flip them off on purpose? Did your hand and finger just spring up like a jackoff in the box? :hmm:

No, I mean I didn't know it was a coworker until we stopped up ahead heh, the flipping of the bird was intentional

So you change the way you act, in public, based on if you can get called or not?

Screw your coworker and tell him so.

You'll be a happier person.

Doesn't work so well with the CEO.

You should have already been in the lane you needed to be in. If you're waiting for someone else to do you a favor, you're doing it wrong. Take responsibility and drive properly.

No not at all. But if you needed to be in that lane so urgently that it pissed you off enough to flip off a driver vs. Having many opportunities over the course of several miles to get in the right lane, I have zero sympathy. Drive better.

Have you considered you may have been doing dumb/annoying driving maneuvers previous to changing lanes and your coworker didn't want your vehicle in front of him/her?

Flipping anyone off in traffic is just childish. Next time it may be someone just a little further over the line than the OP and road rages. Is it really worth the possible damage to your car, person and, day to flip someone off for slightly poorer behavior than your own? I know the OP is a yout but, he hasn't learned the consequences of being a dumbass yet.

No, there is only 200 feet to get into the exit lane on this section of road. Jesus man, do you even know what the hell you are talking about?

That's why I try to avoid doing anything like that in traffic, you never know when it might be someone you know.

After a decade of driving a vehicle with a logo and a phone number on the side, I have to say my road rage is pretty under control.

? I do it all the time. No I don't floor it to cut someone off. But if you're trying to change lanes to the left and I'm overtaking, no I'm not hitting the brake to let you in. And if you've been yoyo driving, or doing other dumb maneuvers, I'm not going to happily accommodate you in front of me just so you can blockade for the next however many miles.

Yes if people are trying to get to the right (to presumably exit) I'll brake to let them in as I would expect someone to do for me. Changing lanes to the left is optional, and should not be done to the detriment of faster traffic in the left lane.

Last summer, heading to Calloway Gardens, woman blocked me from passing on the interstate with a semi, no reason. This went of for miles and I had 10 cars behind me before long. My exit was coming up so I slowed to get off. I could see her accelerate and let the other drivers pass after I hit the ramp. My internet bad ass, no family in the car and the ability to skate would have been a bad day for her.

Still pisses me off.

200 ft from where to where? You conveniently left that part out of your OP. How the hell would anyone know what you're talking about when you don't actually tell anyone what happened?

I think I became a much safer driver, and happier to boot when I just realized that everyone including myself is an idiot driver. Don't think about anything twice and don't honk anymore...

Now I just cruise down the road and look for signs of bad drivers or idiot moves and avoid them. I'll be 1 minute late to my destination rather than risk my life.
