DOS has no USB support except when the BIOS starts booting from a USB device - in that case, the BIOS emulates either a floppy disk (and makes the USB drive A or it emulates a hard drive (giving it letter C.
If your motherboard or your flash drive does not support USB booting, then you cannot access it in DOS.
If you look around, about 2 months ago Panasonic Japan made a bit of a stir with USB for DOS drivers. I'll see if I can find a link to it later.
After playing around with the drivers, I was able to get the USB keydrive recognised...but it rebooted my computer... I haven't had time to really get it right yet.
