accessing Microsoft Exchange Server w/o Dial-up

A guy accessed his mail through an exchange server via dial up. Today we got his house setup w/a router and LAN. How can we set it up so that he can access the exchange server through outlook using the LAN instead of the dialup?

Thanks.

Where does he dial up to before? Was it the company RAS?

If so does the company have a VPN server?

The user needs to use VPN if he wants to use his broadband to access a private company resource such as email over a public internet line such as cable modem or DSL.

Now if the user didn't get broadband and still wants to dialup does the router have a COM port to string an external modem off of?
