accessing folders on windows 2000 without entering password

I have an old computer running windows 2000. I have a few folders on it that I would like to share. However whenever I try to access these folders, I have to go to "View Workgroup Computers" and type in a password. Is there a way I can have these folders appear in My Network Places automatically.

My other computers are running windows XP.
