access win98 share from win2000pro error
While accessing a shared folder on win98SE
from win2000 pro i receive Read-Only access to that folder.
When connecting from win 98 to win 98 i receive full access.
Shared folder is set for Full access
Network is peer-to-peer using tcp/ip and netbeui.
Even when i try to map to that share and user the share password i still only
receive READ-ONLY access?

I'm accessing Win98SE shared folders every day from a Win2K pro machine and never had that problem. Unless the shared folder is a system folder such as "cookies" etc. because those folders are flagged as "System" and "Hidden" and to be treated as "Read Only".

Might be related to security settings on the w2k machine. How are you logging on? Log on as a member of Administrative group and see if it goes away.
