Access to MAC Address

Hi,

I'm not sure this question is a motherboard question, but I'll give it a try.

Where is the MAC address located in a computer?

Is it on a chip somewhere on the motherboard?

How can you get your computer to display its MAC address?

Is it possible to disable the MAC address or deny access to it?

Can a MAC address be spoofed?

Thanks.

"ipconfig /all" from a command prompt will show the MAC addresses on each NIC in your PC.
Yes they can be spoofed, you can changed it from device manager for each NIC.
Doing any type of security by MAC addresses is almost worthless.

Also this probably belongs in networking not motherboards.
