Does anyone know if there is a free way to access databases with papers like those you might find on Academic Search Premier or LexisNexus? My university account no longer works since I'm not an enrolled student but some research I'm doing is highly aligned with academic papers that I'd find on these sources.

Check your public library for home access, or go to a local college library and ask if you can use a public computer.

JSTOR has a feature for very limited free access (three journal articles at a time for up to fourteen days each).

Edit: Apparently the fourteen day thing works backwards. Once you put an article on your myJSTOR bookshelf you can't remove it for fourteen days which limits the number of articles you can view to ~6/month.

If you were a college student at any point, the alumni association for that college might offer library access as a benefit of membership.
