Access time problem?

I am wondering what is up with my access times in HD Tune. The plots are not as tight as I've seen from other screenshots. Short-stroking to 100 or 200 GB helps keep the plots tighter. The same thing happens with my Samsung F3 1TB hard drives. My motherboard is ASRock P67 Extreme6. OS is on a SSD.

The access times do seem a bit high. Here’s my drive:

Try running HD Tune when the drive has no partitions. Also make sure AAM isn’t enabled.

I don't think it's possible to set AAM on this drive. I'll have to try HDTune without partitions another day since they all have partitions on them. Although, I don't recall this happening on my previous PC build which had 2 partitions on the system drive (WD6400AAKS on EP35-DS3L). I swear I think it's the motherboard.

Lol be happy you got 12.8 ,,,,,, some people with hard drives get 16ms on that test.

You got a good score. Why don't you go 0ms latency, grab a SSD. gl
