Access Point the same as bridge?

I'm just wondering, would I be able to connect two access points the the same LAN, like an access point and bridge would? I need to use wireless to transfer over a large space, but need an ethernet connector to actually connect to the devices.

An access point to a bridge = Access point to access point?

Would this work with wireless routers?

Thanks

AP to AP no. Two AP's in bridging mode yes. One setup as Ap and the other in a workgroup bridge mode yes.
