Access Database

Any good sites around that have free samples of database programing? I already did a google search and found some sites, but nothing of interest. Anyone of you folks know of a good one that you might have used?

Yea, but I guess I was looking more in the direction of Shareware database programs. Northwind is good, but hard to customize to your own needs if you wanted to.

Thanks for the reply.

Is there any specific type of database you're interested in? If I happen to have one pertaining to what you're interested in, I'd send it to you.

GeekDrew, I'm working on something for my sister who works in a elementary school. I'm putting together a student/mailing label database. Do you have a list of databases you would be willing to send? I'm very much interested in seeing other people's work and learning by example.

Thanks for the reply.

EagleKeeper, would love to learn the VB code, but it's outta my league for now. I have used the macro feature, but nothing more advanced than that. I'm really not looking for anything specific, but was just wondering if there were any sites where people shared their code or database's.

Thanks for all the input.

Well, most of the databases I've got are "unpolished", and there are little things wrong with them that aren't ideal. Such is the way you design things when you're learning...

However, they're all much more advanced than what you would need for a database such as what you mentioned. i.e. Inventory management, Event registration with multiple subevents of subevents and crosslinked attendance, real-time auction management for livestock... very specific things that go into great detail that would more likely than not confuse a beginner. Have you searched the Microsoft Office website for templates? I think that there is a mailing address database template on there.
